Taking burgers to another level today! Whoever said burgers are only for meat eaters, have something coming for them, right now! I'm going to show you all how quick and easy it is to make homemade veggie burgers, out of quinoa.

ATTENTION: You will need a food processor or a good blender. I used my Nutri Ninja, and it did the job well.

Ingredients:

- Quinoa (I used the sprouted, tri-colored kind; Purchased it at Whole Foods)

-Asparagus

-Red Onions

-Green Onions

-Grape Tomatoes

-Sun-dried tomatoes

-Coconut Oil

-Himalayan Pink Salt

-Italian Seasoning (Simply Organic brand)

-Cayenne Pepper

-Dulse Flakes( Sea Vegetable; This is an optional ingredient.)

- Avocado

-Burger bun (I used spelt bread; However, you do not need to use this particular bread)

How to make the veggie patty:

1.) Cook the quinoa, until nice and fluffy.

2.) Steam cook the asparagus.

3.) Once the quinoa and asparagus are cooked, pour them into your food processor, along with your diced red and green onions.

4.) Add your seasonings (Pink salt, Italian seasoning, a dab of cayenne pepper, and dulse flakes).

5.) Add 2 table spoons of coconut oil (feel free to add a tablespoon or two, if you believe it's necessary).

6.) Turn on your food processor and let it do it's job, until you see everything is well mixed and blended.

7.) Scoop your mix into a bowl and begin forming your patties! Piece by piece, roll into a smooth ball and gently pat it down until a burger patty is formed.

8.) Spread some coconut oil onto a baking ban, and place your patties onto the pan.

9.) Bake the patties at 425 degrees Fahrenheit, for 15 minutes. Flip them over and proceed baking for another 15 minutes. You may bake it for less or more, depending on how well you like your burgers.

How to make the "ketchup"/ tomato sauce:

1.) Pour the sun-dried tomatoes and grape tomatoes into a blender.

2.) Blend until creamy.

This recipe can be made in so many different ways. You may want to add your own choice of veggies and seasonings, and that is completely fine. Cooking is an art; Be your own chef! Until next time beautiful ones!
